En este apartado vamos a plantear una serie de problemas de matemáticas en inglés, para trabajar en la clase bilingüe de matemáticas. Se pueden resolver utilizando cualquier herramienta matemática que dispongas, te sugiero que utilices ecuaciones, sistemas de ecuaciones.
- Determine the value/s of m so that the two roots of the equation x2 − mx + 4 = 0 are equal .
- To fence a rectangular farm of 340 m², 74 m of fence has been used. Calculate the dimensions of the farm.
- Find two consecutive natural numbers whose squares added together equals 313.
- Three years ago, Claudia´s age was half of Ana´s age, and in seven years their ages will add up to50. How old are they?.
- One of the legs of a right-angled triangle is 3 cm longer than the other. If the area of the triangle is 54 cm2, how long are the legs?.
- Calculate the side of a square if its diagonal is 18m.
- Find the length of one side of a rhombus which has diagonals of 12 mm and 16 mm.
- How many 1/15 litre bottles of perfume can you fill with three half-litre bottles?
- Find the equation of the line that is perpendicular to y = 2x + 1 and passes through the point (3,5).
- A box contains 5 red balls, 6 blue balls, and 4 green balls. What is the probability of selecting a blue ball?.
- Two kilos of pears and three kilos of apples cost 7.8€. Five kilos of pears and four kilos of apples cost 13.2€. How much is a kilo of pears?. And a kilo of apples?.
